With the Union High School management failing to attend the second meeting called by the Chimbel Panchayat to discuss on the issue of vacating the ground premises occupied by the school, the panchayat has now decided to take legal recourse by issuing show-cause notice to the school management.
It may be recalled that the panchayat had asked the Union school management to vacate the ground floor, housing its office and computer laboratory, so that it could be used to set up a non-bedded primary health centre.
Accordingly, the panchayat had earlier fixed a meeting with the school management to try and resolve the issue, with only the school manager and the headmaster turning up. The school manager had then sought more time to hold parleys among the management members over the issue.
However, none of the management members appeared for the second meeting that was called on Monday and hence the panchayat arrived at a decision to issue show-cause notice to the school management asking it to vacate the premises.
Secretary Rajendra Gawas informed that a copy of the show-cause notice will also be sent to the chief minister and the Directorate of Education.
