I am regular traveler via Siolim to Arambol. As I drive down i admire the beauty of the serene river with the backdrop of the mountain.
But what is totally revolting and obnoxious is the filth that one sees right from Siolim Church all the way beyond the bridge. Even the bridge is not spared and there is so much of flying garbage on the bridge and beyond on the way to Agarwada roundabout.
I have written in the past to many Panchayats, to the Chief minister and the PM office about the garbage and the filth in Goa.
My humble request: There are thousands of Foreign tourists visiting Goa, riding vehicles, walking, etc.; They are not used to seeing any filth on their streets and surroundings. What opinion will they have about Goa and Indians in general and what message will they convey back home? Don’t they deserve clean surroundings and a good holiday for their patronage of Goa?
Kindly arrange for daily and continuous cleaning of the streets and sidewalks of Siolim. Our PM has started a great movement of Swach Bharat. Please use the Panchayat manpower and machinery and clean up your village.
Thanking you and hoping to see the changes in a few days time.
