Kavlem village panchayat has resolved to remove all the illegal stalls or carts along the highway and internal roads of the village.
During the gram sabha held in the panchayat hall, villagers said that illegal encroachment on the road side in Kavlem village is increasing day-by-day mainly due to increasing number of carts or stall of vadapav due to which roads are getting congested creating traffic congestion.
It has also given rise to illegalities in the village. Based on the demand of the locals, panchayat decided to pass a resolution to remove all the illegal stalls and carts along the roadsides.
During the gram sabha, BDO’s initiative of taking action against unauthorised structure at Dhavali junction last week was appreciated by the panchayat body and locals demanded speedy action against those structures.
In this gram sabha, issue of low voltage in the village during the night time and stray dogs and cattle on the roads was discussed. On this issue, the panchayat has resolved to set up cattle pound in the village.
Sarpanch Rajesh Kavalekar informed locals about the benefits of sewerage treatment plant proposed in the village and asked people to cooperate in development. The gram sabha was presided over by the sarpanch Rajesh Kavalekar while the secretary Harichandra Naik monitored the meeting.
